Single family home in Crans-près-Céligny
The interior of this house from the 70s was entirely renovated and an extension was built onto it. It was first meant to house a family, with an independent studio.
Then an extension with offices and a conference room, with separate access, was to be added to it. This house was also to serve as a showroom for the Smart Home company which specializes in home automation. The main goal was to conceal all the technology while remaining congruous with the architecture and the design originally planned. The architect’s job consisted in completely taking apart the existing house, then in redistributing the rooms and in supervising the interior decoration and the choice of materials. Several pieces of furniture, as well as doors and radiator covers were designed by the company and custom-made.
Particular attention was paid to changes brought to the exterior. From the main entrance, a path with small plazas and benches circles the property. Large grass-planted stairs link the higher to the lower garden, while giving the whole a contemporary touch.
Outdoor swimming pool and pool-house in Crans-près-Céligny
Following the major remodeling of the villa, our workshop received a new mandate. A swimming pool had to be created, with an independent pavilion housing a summer room, a kitchen, as well as changing rooms and bathroom facilities.
The 18 meter-long swimming pool is lined with grey tiles which give an attractive blue-lagoon color. The choice of materials matches the style of the villa, with sober and sleek lines.
The pavilion, with its sleek lines, houses a dining area with a kitchen and separate changing rooms. Next to the pool is a seating area with an L-shaped bench that converts into a table.
The technology used also reflects the style of the house. A goods elevator and a staircase that are totally concealed take you to the technical and storage space in the basement. A complete audio-visual system is also integrated in this space.
Single family home on the vaudoise coast
This Minergie-certified single family home is built on a slope. The development of the project is intrinsically linked to the site. Access to the house follows a thick natural stone wall to reach the vertical layout of the house which has glass walls (windows?) on both sides, ending in a covered patio in the back of the building. The entire layout of the living space of the house is done by half-levels which reflect the layout of the site.
The children’s bedrooms are located on the garden level to make best use of the grassy surface. The master bedroom suite, with its mezzanine office, is located above the garage, whose roof gives the parents a private outdoor space. On each side of the thick stonewall are several rooms. The day areas can be found on the 1st floor in the southwestern part of the house and enjoy an open view to the lake, mountains and neighboring fields. All these rooms have glass walls and end up on a balcony overhanging the garden and becoming a large terrace on the west side. Further on is an infinity-edged swimming pool. At the edge of the pool and abutting the slope is an outdoor seating area in stone. From that point, the infinity-edged pool projects into the void until it merges with both the sky and the lake in the scenery.
Major remodeling of a villa in Crans-près-Céligny
A mansion from the late 60s overlooking the lake was to be totally remodeled. The outside has been entirely re-adapted to today’s norms (insulation of the facade and roof, new windows and installation of a PAC).
The project includes a complete reconfiguration of the interior but also a study on the entryway with the creation of a courtyard on the north side, with a two-car garage. Moreover, an extension to the lower level will be built in order to create offices, which will increase the size of the outdoor living spaces of the upper level.
The old garage was turned into a multi-usage room and the access ramp was completely excavated in order to allow the creation of a zen garden below the road and along the future indoor pool.
The new front entrance of the house will create a transparent space, from the back of the building on the north side to the view of the lake and mountains on the south side.
The interior space had to be streamlined to create a more free-flowing distribution of the different zones.
Particular attention was paid to the creation of a master bedroom suite, with a bathroom, dressing room and bedroom in succession as well as an adjacent family room; the focal point is the fireplace extending into a bench.
The orientation of the view towards the lake was improved by constructing new breakthroughs and by replacing parts of the masonry guards by glass elements.
Complete remodeling (modification) and extension of a single family home in Crans-près-Céligny
The goal was to enlarge a small family home located on a hillside and overlooking a forest and a river.
The needs of a large family had to be met by completely remodeling the existing house and building an extension that would double the living space.
The roof of the small house was already sloping. So the proposal was to keep the existing frame as such and build an extension abutting it with a glass and metal element that would link the two parts.
The extension consisted of building a main block cut into the hillside, offering a large terrace on its roof and attaching to it a flat-roof unit for the parental suite.
Enlargement and renovation of a villa in Vandoeuvres
The project consisted of turning the existing kitchen into a true living space. This required the creation of an extension made of wood and affixed to the existing house. This new space has large windows looking onto the garden and the swimming pool.
A large bathroom was also created on the higher level and is designed to let good zenithal light in. The materials were carefully chosen.
Remodeling and enlargement of a villa planned in Collonge-Bellerive
The project transformed a Provence-style villa from the 60s into a contemporary house with flat roofs and large openings. The horizontal extension and the creation of an additional level totaled up to 500 m2 of living space. The entrance hall and the living room benefited from ample volumes with double height.
Particular care was given to the study for the creation of a parental suite.
Construction of 15 villas in Buchillon - Domaine des Grands Bois
15 villas with the Minergie label were built on more than 21’600 m2 of slightly sloping ground. Located on the edge between the village of Buchillon and the urban and commercial axis of the region, this project has its own personal identity: with their flat roofs, large windows, strong and sleek lines, these homes are in sharp contrast with the pervading classic style.
The original PPA was reworked to improve the flow of traffic inside the complex. The goal was to create a large common meeting space and to link the domain to the village in a more functional way. The lot sizes and distribution were also reviewed to bring in more balance and thus suit the project better.
Villas of 250, 300 and 400 m2 of living space give the complex a diversified appearance while keeping the architecture homogeneous. The two 400m2 villas differ from the others in their volume, their appearance and their location at the end of two pathways. The 13 other villas all have the same main masonry volume built on two floors with an additional wooden lower part; its dimensions vary according to the size of the lot, the access and the square meters of living space of each house.
Swimming pools are optional for each villa and each will be the subject of a project to suit individual needs.
Single family chalet in Gstaad
The project started after the structure had already been completed. The project consisted of improving the interior space with the creation of an entrance hall with guest bathroom, the conversion of cellars into two bedrooms with adjoining bathrooms and the suppression of a double height in one area in order to use that space to create a new bedroom and an office upstairs.
The interior design and the decoration of the chalet were done in a style that combined traditional material and contemporary implementation.
The project also included the choice of drapes and furnishing fabrics, in collaboration with RiederArchitektur AG and Federica Palacios Design. This chalet has been equipped with the best technology available in terms of home automation by the Smart Home company. One of the main concerns was to conceal all the technology within the architecture and the design; hence the meticulous work found in the woodwork and cabinetwork.
Particular attention was paid to exterior equipment. The asphalt entrance courtyard includes stone strips and a massive retaining natural-stone wall runs alongside and leads to the entry of the chalet.
Relaxation area creation project
At the heart of the prestigious Rosey school, a space dedicated to meditation, contemplation and silence was conceived for the benefit of the students. The project consisted of a semi-buried mineral mass emerging from the earth like a fault in the ground. The route that leads to the meditation room used different elements such as light, water, earth, sky and cedar.
Creation of an indoor swimming pool in Crans-près-Céligny
A project for an indoor swimming pool followed the renovation of a villa. This space is an extension of the lower level; it fits into the sloping grounds and the roof is an extension of the main terrace of the house on the upper level. An ornamental pool brightens up the terrace on its whole length and accentuates the dialogue with the lake and the mountains.
Below it, the swimming pool opens onto the garden while the black monolith of the hot tub, which is cast into the pool, overlooks the basin. The relaxation area on the monolith extends to a bench in the bay window which opens onto the zen garden.
This swimming pool looks like a black showcase enhanced by a light-colored cube standing out against the ground; the latter houses the changing rooms and the bathrooms.
Extension of a single-family house in Prangins
The original small house no longer suited the needs of the family and an to the existing villa enlargement was planned in order to add three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The interior was renovated and the exterior remodeled to bring a new logic to the in-and-out flow and to the access of this house as it had no true hallway, nor any interior link between the ground floor and the basement.
The project consisted of tying a mirrored-volume with more contemporary lines to the existing villa by piercing large openings on the front walls (facade), looking alternately onto the vineyards, the village, the Jura or the garden.

Remodeling of a townhouse in Bogis-Bossey
This is about remodeling the interior of a village house from the 80s. The main part of the work consisted of completely redesigning the ground floor. All types of partitions were removed from the 60 m2 surface. Traditionally divided into smaller spaces, the ground floor was turned into a loft-type open space. The long and narrow space is accentuated by openings on both sides.
The design of the fireplace that extends into a bench-like piece of furniture, defines the different spaces that remain open.
The open kitchen concept was meant to give it two different aspects and is emphasized by a kitchen-island that serves as a center point between the entry hall, the kitchen and the dining room.

Remodeling of a house in Lutry
The project consisted of remodeling an existing house on the hills of Lutry.
The goal was to highlight the reception level by integrating a movie theater, as well as to give the ground floor a true living quality.
The master bedroom was then moved to that floor, together with a large bathroom and a sauna. These rooms open onto an exterior patio, which extends onto a relaxation area equipped with an outside living room and a hot tub.
The bedrooms have all been redone with their own bathroom and some with their outside space.
